OTTER TAIL POWER COMPANY ANNOUNCES MAJOR INVESTMENT IN WIND ENERGY GENERATION
Otter Tail Power Company, a division of Otter Tail Corporation
(Nasdaq:OTTR), announced today that it has entered into agreements
to build and own 48 megawatts of wind energy generation at a wind
energy facility planned in Barnes County, North Dakota.

BABCOCK & BROWN COMPLETES FINANCING AND BEGINS CONSTRUCTION OF SOUTH
DAKOTA WIND FARM
International investment and specialized fund and asset management
group Babcock & Brown, a leading wind energy developer and
operator, today announced it has a completed the financing of its
Wessington Springs Wind Project, located near the town of
Wessington Springs, South Dakota.

WIND STANCE AGAINST IBERDROLA
U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer criticized the state Public Service
Commission on Wednesday for requiring Spanish utility Iberdrola SA
to sell its New York state wind farms before they'll allow it to
acquire Energy East Corp.

Christchurch's NZ Windfarms is on track to finish its $90 million

OFFSHORE WIND IN GERMANY LIKELY TO SEE INCREASED M&A ACTIVITY
The German government has proposed a reform of the federal
Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) which provides for increased
feed-in tariffs.

Residents with a variety of opinions about wind farms got the
chance Tuesday night to question the developers of the proposed
Streator-Cayuga Ridge South Wind Farm.

PPM ENERGY IS NOW IBERDROLA RENEWABLES
PPM Energy, Inc. is now part of IBERDROLA RENOVABLES, S.A., and
has changed its name to IBERDROLA RENEWABLES, Inc. In addition,
PPM Energy Canada Limited has changed its name to IBERDROLA
Canada Energy Services Ltd. and remains an indirect subsidiary of
Scottish Power Ltd.

BACKYARD TURBINES ADVANCE
A Coconino County commission has unanimously backed wind towers
made in Flagstaff, sweeping aside concerns they would be unsightly
or bothersome to neighbors.

UPC WIND ANNOUNCES NAME CHANGE TO FIRST WIND
UPC Wind, an independent North American wind power company, today
announced that it is changing its name to First Wind. The name
change will not have any impact on the company's organizational
structure or day-to-day operations. The name change is effective
immediately.

FORT HUACHUCA TO GET WIND-POWER PLANT
A Massachusetts wind-power company announced this week that it
will build a power plant at Fort Huachuca, part of a larger effort
by the base to go "green" while cutting costs.

GREEN BOOST FOR WIND FARM PLAN
Environmentalists have backed plans for a massive wind farm off
the Yorkshire coast. Energy giant E.ON is holding the last in a
series of public exhibitions today on its proposals to install 83
wind turbines off Spurn.

CO-OPS BUYING WIND POWER
Wind turbines assembled in southwest Cedar Rapids are expected to
be supplying electricity to more than a dozen rural Iowa
cooperative customers late next year.

The St-Laurent Energies consortium, consisting of EDF Energies

to announce that it has been awarded five wind projects by
Hydro-Quebec Distribution, representing a total capacity of 954
Megawatts (MW).

The northwest Chinese city of Jiuquan, famous as the nation's
satellite launch center, has been busy with a new mission to
exploit its rich wind energy resources in the hopes of becoming a
global giant in the field of renewable energy.

DANISH WIND TURBINES MANUFACTURER VESTAS WIND SYSTEMS A/S LANDS NEW
ORDER IN GREECE
Danish wind turbines manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems A/S (OMX
Copenhagen:VWS) said on Monday (5 May) that its subsidiary, Vestas
Mediterranean A/S, has secured an order for 34 wind turbines from
the European wind energy investor and developer REnInvest.

HYDRO-QUEBEC SECURES 2,0004 MW OF WIND POWER
Hydro-Quebec has accepted 15 bids for a total installed generating capacity of 2,004.5 MW to fulfill the company's 2005 request for proposals (RFP) for wind energy. Delivery dates for the projects range from 2011 to 2015.

EDF Energies Nouvelles subsidiary enXco and Indianapolis Power & Light (IPL) have entered into a power purchase agreement for a 100 MW wind facility to be built in Union and Gilboa townships in Benton County, Ind.
