The New York State Public Service Commission today approved the
construction plans for a 5.6 mile 230 kV transmission line along
with necessary infrastructure improvements needed for the
construction of a 127-megawatt Noble Wethersfield wind farm
project in Wyoming County.

Albany Officials with Iberdrola SA reiterated Thursday the Spanish
company is ready to walk away from its $4.5 billion acquisition of
Energy East Corp. if state regulators continue to require the sale
of wind-farm assets in New York state.

little wind as possible when they hoist the tall, spindly wind
turbines into place -- especially in the winter.

DUBAI GROUP ACQUIRES 40% STAKE IN INDIA'S CHIRANJJEEVI WIND ENERGY
Dubai Group, the leading diversified financial services company of
Dubai Holding, today announced that it has acquired a 40 per cent
stake in India's Chiranjjeevi Wind Energy Limited (CWEL), a wind
turbine manufacturer in India.

LARGEST INSHORE WIND FARM STARTS UP
Europe's largest onshore wind farm goes on stream from today. The
first 10 turbines of the planned 140 at Whitelee on Eaglesham
Moor, south of Glasgow, are now producing enough electricity to
power 13,000 homes.

Wind farm developers were given the opportunity Monday to present
their reasons for having turbines dot Livingston County.

San Bernardino County officials are hosting a community meeting
Tuesday to discuss a proposed wind-energy project that would put
turbines along a ridgeline near Apple Valley.

E.ON SVERIGE TO BUILD 200MW OFFSHORE WIND FARM IN DENMARK
E.ON has won the right to build Rodsand II, an offshore wind farm
south of the island Lolland in Denmark.

WINDFORCE SETS OPEN HOUSE IN KEYSER ON TURBINE PROPOSAL
Information about wind generation and the first wind turbine
project proposed for Mineral County will be available at a public
open house on Monday, from 7:30 PM -- 9:00 PM at the Wind Lea
Banquet and Conference Center.

ZONING COMMISSION APPROVES IDAHO WIND FARM
The Bingham County Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC) has approved a special-use permit for the Goshen South wind farm. The permit gives Ridgeline Energy approval to build 150 wind turbines on leased land in Bingham County, Idaho.

WISCONSIN POWER TO PURCHASE 400 MW WIND FARM
Wisconsin Power and Light Co. (WPL), a subsidiary of Alliant Energy Corp., has executed a letter of intent to purchase the proposed 400 MW Bent Tree Wind Farm in southern Minnesota from Wind Capital Group LLC, a St. Louis-based developer of wind energy assets.
