  Scott Base could soon be home to New Zealand's southernmost wind
  farm. Antarctica New Zealand chief executive Lou Sanson said the
  organisation, along with Meridian Energy staff, was in the very
  early stages of researching wind as an alternative power source on
  the frozen continent.

AEP TESTS PUBLIC'S DEMAND FOR CLEAN ENERGY

  American Electric rower announced Aug. 8 that it would purchase
  200 megawatts of capacity from an Indiana wind farm, noting that
  the arrangement is conditional. It depends on approval by
  rate-setting commissions in Indiana, Michigan and West Virginia.

  The unanimous vote sets the stage for a study that would look

  The federal government has  appointed a working group to create a
  national code for wind  farms. The group with be chaired by senior
  environment department officer Denis Smedley and includes

  Association and the National Trust, as well as a farmer.

  Origin Energy Ltd  is considering buying wind farms, and says a
  shift to renewable  energy sources could potentially push
