DECISION LAUNCHES KITTITAS VALLEY WIND POWER PROJECT

  Horizon Wind Energy (Horizon), one of the nation's leading wind
  power developers, celebrated Washington Governor Christine
  Gregoire's  authorization of the company's proposed Kittitas
  Valley Wind Power  Project (KVWPP) northwest of Ellensburg in
  Central Washington today.

PEPCO ENERGY SERVICES PROVIDES 100% WIND POWER TO WASHINGTON, DC'S
WILLARD INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL

  Pepco Energy Services, a  subsidiary of Pepco Holdings, Inc.
  (NYSE: POM) and a leader in renewable  electricity, announced
  today that it has been awarded a contract to provide  100% wind
  renewable energy credits to the Willard InterContinental Hotel in
  Washington, D.C.

WESTAR LAUNCHES KANSAS' LARGEST WIND ENERGY PROGRAM

  Westar Energy, Inc.  (NYSE: WR) today announced that it has
  reached tentative agreements with  developers who will build three
  wind farms in Kansas totaling approximately  300 megawatts (MW).
  All are expected to be producing energy by the end of next  year.

AGENCY TO ISSUE RULES FOR TURBINES: THE U.S. FOREST SERVICE WANTS TO
REGULATE WIND-POWER MACHINES ON FEDERAL LAND

  Visitors to the nation's public forests and grasslands could find
  wind turbines cranking out power for an energy-hungry nation under
  a proposal to be released any day in Washington, D.C.

WISCONSIN UTILITY SEEKS TO BUY IOWA WIND FARM

  Wisconsin Public Service Corp. is in negotiations to buy a
  99-megawatt wind farm planned for Howard County. Wisconsin Public
  Service had previously said only that it planned to  build or buy
  wind energy capacity within the territory of the Midwest
  Independent Transmission System Operator, a regional transmission
  system  overseer.

GE INVESTS IN THIRD AIRTRICITY WIND FARM IN TEXAS, AGAIN HELPING
CUSTOMER GROW IN BOOMING US WIND MARKET

  GE Energy Financial Services, a unit of General Electric (NYSE:
  GE), is helping renewable energy company Airtricity, Inc. grow in
  the  booming US wind energy market and boosting its own portfolio
  by  investing in a 126.5-megawatt wind farm under construction in
  West  Texas.

  The AES Corporation (NYSE:AES) today announced plans to begin
  construction of Buffalo Gap 3, a 170 MW expansion of its Buffalo
  Gap  wind farm near Abilene, Texas.

  Nordic Windpower Ltd., a leading manufacturer of two-bladed
  utility-scale wind turbines, announced today that Goldman Sachs,
  one  of the world's largest investment banks, has made a
  significant  investment in the company.

INNER MONGOLIA INSTALLS WIND GENERATORS WITH 1000MW CAPACITY

  Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, a pioneer of clean energy
  development in China, announces that the combined installed
  capacity of all wind power generator sets in the region exceeds
  1000 megawatts, the biggest in the country.

  Wind energy major Suzlon today entered the Turkish market by
  securing an order for 31.5 MW of wind turbine capacity from
  utility major Ayen Enerji Co Inc.

THEOLIA ACQUIRES A 50.4MW WIND FARM IN MOROCCO

  Theolia has entered an agreement with EDF Group to acquire part of
  the share capital (84.5%) of Compagnie Eolienne du Détroit (CED)

ISLAND WIND FARM

  On Saturday September 15th, Schneider Power Inc. celebrated the
  dedication and phase two groundbreaking of their new wind farm
  project on Manitoulin Island.

  EDF Energies Nouvelles has announced the entry into service of two
  new wind farms in Greece, developed by its Greek subsidiary EEN Hellas.

  Babcock & Brown, an investment and advisory firm, has announced
  the completion of financing for the construction of two wind
  farms, Garbis and Zefyros, located in the Arkadia province of the

TAIWAN TO EXPAND ITS WIND POWER CAPACITY

  Taiwan may spend more than 100 billion New Taiwan dollars, or $3
  billion, during the next three years to increase wind power
  capacity tenfold and cut coal and gas imports.

RWE POWER COMMISSIONS TWO NEW WIND PARKS IN NORTHERN FRANCE

  RWE Power has commissioned two new wind parks at
  Tourville-la-Chapelle and Gouchaupre, Normandy in northern France.

IBERDROLA RENOVABLES STARTS CONSTRUCTION OF NEW WIND FARM

  Iberdrola Renovables has begun construction of the O Vieiro wind
  farm near the towns of Bande and Verea in Orense province, in the
  northwestern Spanish region of Galicia. The plant, with a
  production capacity of 19.9MW, will cost approximately E21 million.

  Mike Magnus, President & CEO of Shear Wind Inc. ("Shear Wind")

  project site in Nova Scotia.

  REPOWER Systems AG, one of the world's top 10 wind turbine
  manufacturers, is continuing its expansion in Scotland with the
  announcement that more than 50 turbines are set to be installed
  north of the border during 2008.

NPOWER WIND FARM PROPOSAL RECEIVES APPROVAL

  The renewables arm of UK-based utility npower has had its plans to
  establish a wind farm at Bradwell-on-Sea approved by a planning
  inspector appointed by the UK government's Department for
  Communities and Local Government.

CHINA TO ENTER "WIND POWER ERA" BEFORE 2010, EXPERT SAYS

  China will enter an era in which   wind power will be fully
  developed by 2010, an expert said on   Wednesday.

GREEN LIGHT FOR HIGHLAND ENERGY PROJECTS

  UK Energy Minister Malcolm Wicks yesterday pledged that high grid
  connection costs will not be a barrier to renewable energy
  projects in the Highlands and Islands, such as windfarms.

NORWEGIAN WIND POWER INVESTOR VARDAR EURUS AS INVESTS IN ESTONIA

  Norwegian holding company Vardar AS said on Thursday (20
  September)  that its 70%-owned subsidiary Vardar Eurus AS has,
  together with the  Estonian investor AS Freenergy, agreed to
  jointly acquire the Estonian  wind energy company Tooma Tuulepark
  OU from the development company  Lotus Capital OU.
