DECISION LAUNCHES KITTITAS VALLEY WIND POWER PROJECT
Horizon Wind Energy (Horizon), one of the nation's leading wind
power developers, celebrated Washington Governor Christine
Gregoire's authorization of the company's proposed Kittitas
Valley Wind Power Project (KVWPP) northwest of Ellensburg in
Central Washington today.

PEPCO ENERGY SERVICES PROVIDES 100% WIND POWER TO WASHINGTON, DC'S
WILLARD INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL
Pepco Energy Services, a subsidiary of Pepco Holdings, Inc.
(NYSE: POM) and a leader in renewable electricity, announced
today that it has been awarded a contract to provide 100% wind
renewable energy credits to the Willard InterContinental Hotel in
Washington, D.C.

WESTAR LAUNCHES KANSAS' LARGEST WIND ENERGY PROGRAM
Westar Energy, Inc. (NYSE: WR) today announced that it has
reached tentative agreements with developers who will build three
wind farms in Kansas totaling approximately 300 megawatts (MW).
All are expected to be producing energy by the end of next year.

Wisconsin Public Service Corp. is in negotiations to buy a
99-megawatt wind farm planned for Howard County. Wisconsin Public
Service had previously said only that it planned to build or buy
wind energy capacity within the territory of the Midwest
Independent Transmission System Operator, a regional transmission
system overseer.

Taiwan may spend more than 100 billion New Taiwan dollars, or $3

RWE Power has commissioned two new wind parks at

Iberdrola Renovables has begun construction of the O Vieiro wind
farm near the towns of Bande and Verea in Orense province, in the

Norwegian holding company Vardar AS said on Thursday (20
September) that its 70%-owned subsidiary Vardar Eurus AS has,
together with the Estonian investor AS Freenergy, agreed to
jointly acquire the Estonian wind energy company Tooma Tuulepark
OU from the development company Lotus Capital OU.
