U.S. WIND INDUSTRY TO INSTALL OVER 3,000 MEGAWATTS OF WIND POWER IN 2007
The U.S. wind energy industry is on track to install over 3,000
megawatts (MW) of wind power generating capacity nationwide in
2007, with Texas likely to account for about two thirds of the new
installations, the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) said
today in its first quarter market report.

APS, BABCOCK & BROWN DEDICATE WIND FARM
Babcock & Brown and Arizona Public Service Co. (APS) yesterday
dedicated the Aragonne Mesa Wind Project - a 90 megawatt (MW) wind
farm located on a desolate mesa 25 miles southwest of Santa Rosa, N.M.

ACCIONA ENERGY'S REVENUES UP 41% IN Q1 2007
The energy arm of Spanish energy and construction firm Acciona has
posted revenues of E252 million in Q1 2007, up 40.8% over Q1 2006.
The company said that this was due to organic growth in the unit's
installed wind power capacity to 3,317MW.

AEP GETS SEVERAL BIDS FOR WIND POWER; POSSIBILITY OF W.VA. FACILITY UNCLEAR
American Electric Power has received more than a dozen bids from
companies offering to construct wind farms under long-term power
purchase agreements, spokeswoman Jeri Matheney said.

PSCW APPROVES WISCONSIN POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY'S CEDAR RIDGE WIND
FARM PROJECT
Wisconsin Power and Light Company (WPL), an Alliant Energy
company (NYSE: LNT), today received unanimous approval from the
Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSCW) on its Certificate
of Authority (CA) application to construct Alliant Energy's first
owned wind farm, Cedar Ridge Wind Farm.

Tuesday (8 May) that it has won a contract for 94 wind turbines
from the Spanish renewable energy company NEO Energia, part of
EDP Group.

EVELOP AND BALLAST NEDAM ACQUIRE EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS TO DEVELOP
OFFSHORE WIND FARM 'SCHEVENINGEN BUITEN'
On 26 April, Rijkswaterstaat Noordzee announced that the permit
application, including the EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment )
submitted by Evelop International and Ballast Nedam Concessies
(Concessions) for the offshore wind farm Scheveningen Buiten has
been approved.

ILLINOIS HOUSE OVERWHELMINGLY PASSES RENEWABLE ENERGY STANDARD
Today, the Illinois House of Representatives passed a Renewable
Energy Standard (HB1871) requiring the state to buy 2% of its
power from renewable energy sources by 2008, 10% by 2015, and
setting a goal of 25% by 2025.

NRC REPORT FAVORABLE ON WIND POWER BUT MORE STUDY NEEDED
The National Audubon Society released the following statement by
Senior Vice President Betsy Loyless today: "The latest report
from the National Academies recognizes that properly- sited wind
power holds great promise as a source of renewable energy that can
reduce global warming pollution."

DEVELOPER PROPOSES SMALLER WIND FARM NEAR SUGARLOAF
The developer of a controversial wind farm proposed for Maine's
western mountains plans to submit a scaled-down version in hopes
of winning approval from state regulators, the Land Use Regulation
Commission said Wednesday.

Rep. Alan B. Mollohan, D-W.Va., told a House committee Tuesday
about the dangers wind turbines in West Virginia and elsewhere

TXU TOLD IT HAS TO MAKE ROOM FOR WIND POWER
TXU Corp., which faces a May 29 court date over allegations that
it intentionally interfered with West Texas wind farms' ability to
move electricity to market, was obligated to make room for that
power on transmission lines, a Dallas judge ruled this week.

Wind energy is one of Pennsylvania's fastest-growing industries

consideration -- a $24 million project at the county landfill in

energy industry recently. This morning, the Public Service
Commission is holding a public hearing at the Cavalier County
Courthouse regarding a $225 million, 159-megawatt wind farm near
Langdon, N.D.

PRIMARY METALS ANNOUNCES WIND GENERATION PROJECT
Primary Metals Inc. (the "Company") (TSX Venture:PMI) is pleased
to announce that Enernova - Novas Energias SA, ("Enernova") a
subsidiary of Electricidad de Portugal, ("EDP"), the sole
transmitter and largest producer and distributor of electricity in
Portugal, will commence construction of eolic wind energy

near Salerno, Italy.

SUZLON ANNOUNCES 400-MW DEAL WITH PPM ENERGY
Suzlon Wind Energy Corporation, the US-based subsidiary of Suzlon
Energy A/S of Denmark, has signed a contract for a total of 400 MW of wind
turbine capacity with PPM Energy of Portland, Oregon, one of the largest wind power
developers in North America.

Talisman Energy (UK) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of

power from the Beatrice Wind Farm Demonstrator Project.

LATEST EDF ENERGIES NOUVELLES WIND FARM ENTERS INTO SERVICE
EDF Energies Nouvelles, a 50%-owned subsidiary of EDF, has
announced that its Red Tile wind farm in the UK has entered into
service, raising the company's total number of wind farms in
production in the UK to eight.
