GREEN LIGHT FOR GBP 50 MILLION LOTHIANS WIND FARM
Plans for a GBP 50 million wind farm in the Lothians featuring
100-metre-high turbines have been given the green light by council
chiefs. Cheshire-based Community Windpower applied to erect 16
turbines at Aikengall, about six miles south of Dunbar.

ENBRIDGE ONTARIO WIND POWER PROJECT UPDATE
Enbridge (TSX:ENB)(NYSE:ENB) announced today the Ontario Ministry
of the Environment has confirmed that the Environmental Screening
Report related to the Company's 182 megawatt wind power project in
Kincardine, Ontario has been accepted and the project will not be
elevated to an individual Environmental Assessment.

AREVA INCREASES BID FOR WIND TURBINE FIRM
Areva, the largest builder of nuclear power plants, raised its bid
Thursday for the German wind turbine builder Repower Systems,
countering an offer by Suzlon Energy of India and valuing the
company at 1.14 billion.

COMPANY PLANNING WIND FARM IN MADISON COUNTY
A California company is moving forward to build a wind farm on
Norris Hill in Madison County that could produce enough
electricity to power 45,000 homes.

S. CAROLINA CONSIDERING WIND POWER
Ralph Nichols, a Savannah River National Laboratory engineer, can
envision a time when ocean breezes power the production of
hydrogen that is used to generate electricity for South Carolina
homes and businesses, particularly in remote areas where access to
other power sources is scarce.

XCEL SOLICITS PROPOSALS FOR LOCAL WIND PROJECTS: UTILITY WANTS TO

A chicken in every pot and a wind turbine in every yard? Xcel
Energy is looking to buy more energy from locally owned wind
projects to pump 200 more megawatts of electricity onto its grid

After reviewing several proposals from wind energy companies,
Midwest Energy today announced it has signed a contract with
TradeWind Energy, LLC for the purchase of 25 megawatts of energy
generated by wind turbines at its Smoky Hills Wind Farm.
