Green Mountain Energy Company, American Municipal PowerOhio
(AMPOhio), and the City of Bowling Green recently broke ground for
the construction of two wind turbines near the city.

SCOTTISHPOWER, SHELL TO BUILD WIND POWER FARM IN COLORADO
ScottishPower PLC's PPM Energy Inc and Royal Dutch/Shell Group's
Shell WindEnergy Inc said they will build the largest wind power
farm in Colorado.

WIND FARMS TOP POLL OF ARCHITECTURAL EYESORES
WIND FARMS are the worst architectural eyesores in Britain,
according to a poll out today. The top 10 most hated eyesores,
selected by readers of Country Life magazine, included hated
buildings such as New Street rail station in Birmingham and
Oxfordshire's Didcot Power Station.

IEA: $16 TRILLION IN ENERGY INVESTMENT NEEDED BY 2030
The world will have to invest $16 trillion-1% of global gross
domestic product-over the next 3 decades just to maintain its
present level of energy supplies, said Claude Mandil, executive
director of the Paris-based International Energy Agency.

CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON LARGE WIND FARM NEAR LAMAR, COLO.
The convoy of tractor trailers started rolling towards the Emick
Ranch near Lamar last month -- each carrying what looked like
large, hollow tubes lying on their sides.

CONSTRUCTION COMPLETE ON EASTERN OREGON WIND FARM
Forty-one new wind turbines line the foothills in Northeastern Oregon, ready to deliver clean, renewable wind power to PacifiCorp customers. Located south of Umapine and west of Milton-Freewater, Ore., Combine Hills Turbine Ranch I is the newest energy project owned by Eurus Energy of America (EEA), and the first wind farm funded with help from the Energy Trust of Oregon, Inc.

PUGET SOUND ENERGY ISSUES 150 MW WIND REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Puget Sound Energy (PSE) released a request for proposals (RFP) for 150 MW of wind power on November 12. State regulators approved the RFP the next day, which allows the utility to begin evaluating wind project bids. A pre-bid conference for the proposals will be held December 3. Proposals will be due January 9, 2004.
